Tahoe Park Elementary

This was the first mural I did with the Wide Open Walls Uplifting Schools Program.
My good family friends had gifted me a bowl of loquats from their tree. I loved how the tree looked and wanted to incorporate it into the mural somehow. I also knew I wanted to paint a young girl as a main focus so that students could see someone their age in a mural.
I was also painting in the middle of the summer heat so I tried to capture the feel of a California summer through the colors.
